Winning
-
Ordinary viruses aren’t going to cut it with your teacher. A better hacker is needed to find out his password. The Dark Web has plenty, but their services cost $200. After buying the password, head to the center spot on the board to win.
Movement
-
The perimeter of the board is known as the highway, and players may move to any space connected to it. Once off the highway, movement is dice-based. Navigating the highway counts as one move, and each space afterwards counts as another move. You can move through computers without hacking them. You have to use all your moves, unless you are landing on a computer in order to take it over.
Your Turn
-
Your turn is a sequence of events. In general, it goes something like this: collect money, spend money, move, and other actions. Other actions include taking over a computer and playing cards. You can play as many cards as you want during a turn, but you cannot move after taking over a computer.
Computers
-
Each computer on the board has a user, and the users are divided into levels: 1, 2, and 3. Users are affected by most, if not all, viruses of their level. Information on individual users, such as how much money they give you when their computer is taken and what viruses they are immune to, can be found on user cards.
-
Once a computer is taken, players collect every time they move. Level 1 computers net you $5, Level 2 computers $10, and Level 3 computers $15.
-
Another player can hack a computer by playing two virus cards of the corresponding level. This can be done even if one of the viruses would not normally work on that user. After doing this, the player collects the normal amount of money from the user, as well as all the passive income in upcoming turns.
Viruses
-
The goal of the game is to take computers, which gets you money. To take computers, you must use viruses, which are divided into levels: 1, 2, and 3. Viruses are able to take most, if not all, computers of their level. Level 1 cards cost $25, Level 2 cards cost $50, and Level 3 cards cost $100.
-
If you have no use for a virus card, you can sell it for its original worth. This cannot be done on the same turn it is picked up.
IRL Cards
-
Landing on white spaces allows you to draw an IRL card, which, depending on the card, is played immediately or can be saved. This is specified on the card. These cards have various effects from making a fellow player lose a turn to halving the amount of passive income collected.
-
Bitcoin Collapse and Power Outage: These cards affect the person who drew it on their next turn.
-
Firewalls
-
For $30, a player can purchase a firewall, which they can place on any space and make it impassable. If someone wishes to remove it, they will have to pay $100.
